At GIGAMEDIA, the well-being of our teams is at the heart of our concerns. A number of actions have been taken to achieve this.
Our social and environmental commitment
- GIGAMEDIA is a partner of multiple local “ESAT” (organisms supporting employment for disabled workers).
- GIGAMEDIA is also a partner of Social and Solidarity Economy service providers. The social economy refers to a group of companies organised in cooperatives, mutual societies, associations or foundations, whose internal operations and activities are based on a principle of solidarity and social utility. At GIGAMEDIA, we strive to participate in the development of mission-driven companies.
A connected fridge with Melchior
Because well-being also means eating well, we have introduced a number of initiatives and facilities designed to make each day a little more pleasant for our teams.
A connected fridge, in partnership with Melchior, has been installed so that they can enjoy tasty, well-balanced, locally-prepared meals.
Free access to dried fruit
Weekly delivery of free access dried fruit for a balanced snack between meetings with Good Daily.
Quality coffee machines were also made available to the GIGAMEDIA teams with this partner.
Honey and bees
For several years now, there has been movement around GIGAMEDIA headquarters: the bees have woken up!
We are partners with Apis Urbana, a local bee-keeping company, that comes every week to maintain 4 hives installed in the green spaces of our Lesquin site, in the midst of numerous species of trees, including fruit trees.
As with the tree-planting we do regularly in the Hauts de France region, the beehives are part of our GO4BLUE sustainability programme, one of the aims of which is to raise awareness among our teams about the need to protect biodiversity.
Cigarette butt collections
With Tchao Mégot, we collect cigarette butts and recycle them, turning them into sustainable insulation.
Training and awareness-raising
We train our employees and raise their awareness about climate issues through workshops (La Fresque du Climat, Inventons Nos Vies Bas Carbone, etc).
