Logistics transport

Because the impact of transport is an essential part of our sustainable development strategy, we have integrated FRET 21. The main objective of the incentive was to reduce our transport-related CO2 emissions by at least 7% between 2021 and 2024.

We have exceeded this commitment in 2023 with a total of -13% vs 2021!

Actions set in place thanks to the FRET 21 programme

  • We are using new types of fuels (B100 & XTL)
  • We have reduced the number of delivery rounds
  • We are aiming to optimise our logistics, in particular by reducing the loading rate

Warehouse consumables

In our warehouse, we use consumables that have less impact, such as:

  • pre-stretched pallet film (100% recyclable and using less material)
  • kraft adhesive tapes

Eco-design project: cardboard drum

At GIGAMEDIA, we have replaced some of our wooden drums with cardboard ones, thus reducing our emissions for cut-to length cables of less than 150 m.

This cardboard drum saves space and weight at every stage of the product life cycle. This saves several kilos of CO².

Recycled waste stream

Our wooden pallets and drums are recycled by Recycla Nord.

In total, over 90% of our waste is recycled.
