The Gigamedia DAC cable is perfectly adapted for short distance links, up to 7 metres. They are ideal to establish rapid and cost-effective links between switches and servers in the same rack, or close by racks. The Gigamedia Twinax direct passive attachment cable SFP 10Gb is certified to be fully compatible with the Gigamedia and D-Link switches for very High Speed links. The Gigamedia Twinax direct passive attachment SFP 10 Gb cables support speeds up to 10Gbps while reducing latency and electrical power consumption of the links in a manner more important than other types of links such as CAT6/CAT6A 10GBASE-T cords. They are therefore the ideal solution to manage High Speed data transmission in Data centres.
