A committed partnership
For the 4th consecutive year, GIGAMEDIA took part in an urban renaturation project alongside Beeforest, which specializes in planting natural, participatory, and educational urban micro-forests, and NEOTERA, which specializes in biodiversity, sustainable development, and climate change adaptation, in partnership with the Hauts-de-France region and the municipality of Ronchin.
Together, we planted local species to encourage biodiversity and the preservation of nature, and also to involve younger generations in a sustainable and educational project.🌍
A global and local approach
Part of both a global and local approach, and imbued with a real social dimension, this virtuous action has made it possible to create:
🌳 A carbon sink, with 900 trees planted on an area of 300 m².
🐦 A biodiversity refuge, creating natural habitats for different species of plants and animals.
😮💨 A natural air quality regulator, helping to filter pollutants and produce oxygen and contributing to a more pleasant urban climate.
🥵 Cool islands, providing shade and evaporating water, thus contributing to a more pleasant urban climate.
