A new range of AHD cameras, a vandal proof camera, new IP recorders.

AHD technology for video surveillance offers numerous advantages in terms of both its ease of implementation and the quality of the video images provided. The following video allows you to discover (or re-discover) 7 good reasons to opt for this technology.

Gigamedia's AHD range has grown in recent weeks with the arrival of several models enabling all video surveillance requirements to be met.

The AHD range now includes products with a resolution of 1080p (1920 x 1080). The 720p range has also expanded with the addition of new bullet, dome and box cameras.

The AHD camera models include the new vandal proof Ironcam camera, which is already a great success even though it has only just been included in the brand's product catalogue (there is also an IP version of this camera).

Built to withstand impacts, perfect for underground stations, prisons, building entrance halls, car parks, etc.,
the Ironcam camera is built for video surveillance in testing conditions.

Equipped with a 13mm thick compressed aluminium housing, 8mm glass and anti-tamper screws, as well as third generation infra-red LED technology and viewing angle adjustment, Gigamedia's Ironcam is a complete, resistant and powerful vandal proof camera.

It is also easy to take down. Changing the glass and seals (which can be purchased separately) is easy.

As for recorders, they now support advanced functionalities, including P2P (peer-to-peer: remote viewing with no fixed IP address) and a push notification function (mobile phone alerts).

For the IP range, new Gigamedia recorders now include H265 technology, with guaranteed compression and performance!

In May 2016, GIGAMEDIA will be launching its first 3 digital recorders with the H265 codec
This new codec improves image compression and saves 50% bandwidth

The benefits of the H.265 codec:

- A new video compression standard, High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC)
- Reduces bandwidth use by 50%
- Supports 4K and 8K resolutions (ultra-high resolution)
- Doubles recording time (compared to H264)
- Rapid network transmission of video

Three recorders equipped with this technology will soon be included in the brand's catalogue (May 2016):

GGM NVR16POE: POE recorder for 16 cameras
GGM NVR8POE: POE recorder for 8 cameras
GGM NVR8: non-POE recorder for 8 cameras

The POE used by the first two recorders provides electrical power for the cameras.
